I submitted my car's registration, and the items I was seeking. I received numerous responses, mainly for pre-used items, but with a couple of new items (aftermarket) listed. My car was registered in 1998, and was sitting in a garage workshop, which had been unable to locate a new unit (aftermarket or otherwise). I was able to pass on the details to them, of a new aftermarket item (with a 1 year warranty), designed for my specific car model. The garage cross checked the details and, on receiving confirmation, promptly ordered the correct part from the supplier. Item received the following day. Well pleased.

Got 4 quotes sent to me within 2 hours which was really good. 2 of the quotes were 'good value' and contacting one of the suppliers was dead easy. When I got through to the supplier I was told that I might not be getting a 'colour matched' product. A little bit of haggling got me the proper painted part for another £10. This has still saved me about £100 by avoiding the main dealer. Will use 247spares again!

I found this site really helpful. I received replies from a number of different breakers within an hour or so, some sooner. They gave me the option of used parts or new parts. The used ones were are very good price and the new ones were a lot cheaper than the Fiat parts my garage had quote me.
